Fugitive and cloistered pork offal

The comment spams keep coming and keep being nonsensical, but the latest contribution actually seems to be on topic. Its genre is still comment stream, however: an unsigned obiter dictum. About that genre, Milton was prescient as usual when he wrote:

“I cannot praise a fugitive and cloister’d vertue, unexercis’d & unbreath’d, that never sallies out and sees her adversary, but slinks out of the race, where that immortall garland is to be run for, not without dust and heat.”
